Fresh troubles for Nana Agradaa; appears before another court

Nana Agradaa
Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa and the founder of Heaven Way Champions International Ministry, went to court in Accra because she is accused of running a scam to double people’s money.
This happened after she followed the bail rules set by two different Circuit Courts.
She is going to the third Circuit Court in Accra to answer for putting fake ads in newspapers and six counts of stealing money by lying.
Nana Agradaa has said that the charges are not true.
Nana Agradaa was given bail in the amount of GH50,000 with two sureties, one of whom had to be a public servant making at least GH3,000. The Circuit Court Four, which was led by Mrs. Kizita Quashie, gave Nana Agradaa this chance.
The case will be heard again on January 11, 2023.
On October 10, 2022, DSP Sylvester Asare, who was in charge of the prosecution, said that the complainants had told the police that the accused had asked for and taken a lot of money from them under the guise of doubling it for them.
It said that when the police got the report, they started to look into it and then caught the person who was accused.
The prosecution said that investigations showed that on October 5, 2022, the accused advertised that she could double the money on Today’s TV and other social media platforms.
Investigations also found that the accused posted the same fake ad on social media, inviting people to an all-night service at Heaven way Champion International Ministry in Weija, Accra, on October 7, 2022.
It said that the people who complained and other people in the public came from far and wide for the service that ran all night.
The prosecution said that the accused turned off all the cameras in the church during the all-night service and then asked for and got a lot of money from the public, including the complainants.
