Wizkid, Tems Win At 2022 American Music Awards (See Full List of Winners)
Wizkid had to compete against other Nigerian artists like Burna Boy, CKay, Fireboy DML, and Tems to win the award.
Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, and Tems are both well-known Nigerian musicians who have won awards at the American Music Awards.
Wizkid made history when he was the first artist to win the Favourite Afrobeats Artiste category. Tems won the Favourite R&B Song category with the song Essence, which she made with Wizkid.
On Sunday, the event took place for the 50th time at the Microsoft Theater in California.
