GES Alerts Schools: WAEC Opens 2025 BECE Online School Selection Portal – Deadline August 8!

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially opened the 2025 BECE Online School Selection Portal for the entering of school selections.
According to the press release made public through the Ghana Education Service (GES), both school candidates from public and private schools as well as private candidates who sat the exam as home tuition candidates will have to upload their chosen schools.
The period for uploading selected schools is Thursday, 24th July to Friday, 8th August 2025. All head teachers of basic schools are to ensure the files are uploaded as directed on time.
Schools are to ensure the correct and final file containing the schools selected by parents for their wards is uploaded.
Parents and guardians whose wards sat the examination as private candidates are also to visit the portal www.waecinternetsolution.org to upload the schools.

OPENING OF ONLINE SCHOOL SELECTION PORTAL BY WAEC
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Heads of Junior High Schools (JHS) that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened the school selection portal for the capture and upload of candidates’ school choices.
The period for the exercise is from Thursday, 24th July to Friday, 8th August 2025.
Private BECE candidates are to select their schools online via www.waecinternetsolution.org using their Index Numbers and Dates of Birth as login credentials (username and password respectively).
All Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education are kindly requested to ensure that Examination Coordinators supervise and monitor the school selection exercise in their respective jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate data entry by Heads of Junior High Schools.
Regional Directors are by this letter, kindly requested to circulate this information to all schools through their Metro/Municipal/District Directors and ensure the successful completion of the exercise within the stipulated period.
