GES to Host Meet the Subject Teacher’ Conference for 2026 BECE Prep

The Adentan Municipal Education Office of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the “Meet the Subject Teacher Conference,” a high-stakes training series designed to sharpen the skills of facilitators handling Form 3 registered candidates for the upcoming BECE.
Scheduled to take place from February 23rd to February 27th, 2026, the conference aims to equip teachers with deep pedagogical insights and technical examination strategies to improve student performance across the municipality.
Meet the Subject Teacher Conference for 2026 BECE Prep Objectives and Content
This year’s conference is specifically designed to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and the rigorous standards required by WAEC. For each subject treated, facilitators will dive into:
Technical Answering Strategies: Comprehensive training on how students should approach and answer BECE-style questions to maximize marks.
Marking Scheme Analysis: Facilitators will utilize the 2025 Marking Schemes to understand the specific requirements and key phrases examiners look for.
Chief Examiners’ Reports: A review of past reports to identify common pitfalls students face and strategies to avoid them.

The sessions will be held at the Victory Presbyterian Church School, starting at 8:00 AM daily. Each day is dedicated to two specific subjects:

A Message from the Director of Education On Subject Teacher 2026 BECE Conference
In an official letter addressed to the Heads of all Private JHS in Adentan, Gifty Mussey (MS), the Director of Education for Adentan Municipal, emphasized the importance of full participation.
“Each Head is supposed to come with their subject teacher(s) from their school to the venue each day per the timetable,” the directive stated.
The Municipal Office counts on the “usual co-operation” of school heads to ensure that no teacher is left behind in this critical preparation phase for the 2026 registered candidates.
