GES releases 2026 teacher recruitment status but there is a problem with checking

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released the recruitment application status for the 2026 academic cycle. The recruitment is expected to lead to the posting of at least 7,000 teachers out of the over 50,000 applicants who applied for the vacant positions.

According to the official release dated 24th July, 2026, and signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, applicant status updates will become available today at the following scheduled times:

• Applicants can check their application status by logging onto the official recruitment portal at the designated times provided above.

1. Go to https://ges-recruitment-application.gedp.tech/
2. Enter your valid Ghana Card ID
3. Enter your Application ID
4. Click on “Buy Voucher” and wait for the payment prompt.
5. Complete the required payment to purchase the recruitment results checker voucher.
6. After a successful payment, enter your Voucher Code.
7. Click “Login” to view your recruitment status, appointment details, and any further instructions provided on the portal.

Please be patient while accessing the portal, as high traffic may occasionally cause delays.

The latest update for teachers who are checking the status of their postings is that the voucher serving system on the portal is not working. Payment is going through, but the system is not sending the vouchers via SMS to teachers. What this means is that educators cannot check their postings until the GES resolves the issues. Teachers who are facing this issue are to leave a comment on the GES official Facebook page. This is the easiest way to get the GES to respond to the stressful situation.

In addition to the above, others who have successfully purchased and received the voucher for checking the postings are also not able to check since the portal is not responding as expected. The Ghana Education Service needs to take steps to restore the system to its expected efficiency without delay.
