  1. Secure an Assurance Letter: All applicants must write to the District Director of their desired new location. The receiving station will only issue an assurance letter if an official vacancy exists for your rank.
  2. Compile Supporting Documents: Upload and file digital and physical copies of your signed Personal Record Form, recent passport pictures, academic certificates, current payslip, bank clearance, and a confidential supervisor’s report.
  3. Submit via Designated Portals: Complete forms online via the official Ghana Education Decentralization Project Portal using a valid Gmail address.
  4. Obtain Official Approval: Forward the processed files through your local directorate up to the GES headquarters in Accra for final processing.

Strict Anti-Fraud and Compliance Warning

The director-general explicitly warns that no staff member should leave their current post until a formal re-posting letter is generated and signed by headquarters. Leaving prematurely constitutes an unapproved transfer and leads to immediate salary suspension or severe disciplinary action.

Furthermore, the GES maintains a zero-fee transfer policy. Staff must not pay money to middlemen, syndicates, or online fraudsters promising to expedite transfers or bypass assurance quotas. All suspected scams should be reported to regional coordinators immediately.
