GES Warns Parents not to Pay GH¢465 for WASSCE Registration

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a directive about WASSCE registration to parents of students attending public Senior High Schools about, instructing them not to make any payment towards the GH¢465 registration fee for the 2024 WASSCE.
It has been emphasized by the GES that this cost is covered by the Free Senior High School policy. Dr. Eric Nkansah, the Director General of the GES, conveyed this message to the public during a press conference held in Accra on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

This directive comes as a reminder to parents that the cost of the registration fee is already covered by the Free Senior High School policy, which was implemented by the government to ensure that every Ghanaian child has access to quality education without financial barriers. The registration portal will be open from Monday, March 11, 2024, until Friday, April 19, 2024. The 2024 BECE for School and Private Candidates will take place from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, 2024.
