Go And Write BECE Again If You Had More Than Aggregate 25 And Stop Seeking For Placement

All 2022 BECE graduates who had more than aggregate 25 and were not placed in any school during the school placement have been advised to resit for the exams.

Mr Kofi Bentil, who is a Private legal practitioner made this statement in a Facebook post said, ‘Free Unsolicited advise, If you get more than aggregate 25, and you have sense, you will write again instead of try to get placement.”

A Former Minister of Communications Dr Edward Omane Boamah also said there is a need to reflect on what he describes as a disturbing national issue following the BECE candidates who obtained aggregates 25 and 35.

He described this situation as worrying for which steps must be taken to correct it.

Following the release of the Computerised School Selection Placement, several parents have trooped various solution centers of the Ghana Education Service following the release of the 2023 school placement. Over 169,000 candidates are expected to do self placement since they weren’t placed in any of the five selected schools of their choice.

Aggrieved father, whose son had aggregate 15 during the release of the 2022 BECE results is at the GNAT Hall making complains to the media of changes in his ward’s result. According to him, his son’s aggregate has changed from 15 to 31. For this reason, his ward could not be placed in any school. Hr added that the Ghana Education Service is yet to give him reasons to such incident and the possible way forward.

On Thursday, hundreds of parents and students trooped to the national centre set up at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall which is serving as the National Resolution Centre, to have their school placement issues resolved.

Other complaints include;

“I had an aggregate 34 but I didn’t get a school placement. A classmate had 35 and got his first-choice school,” a student also said.

This caused several social media activists to comment on the performance of the students.
