The aim of the Goldsmiths University of London Football Writers Association bursary is to encourage those students who come from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the industry. In particular those from a lower socio-economic background, BAME, LGBTQ+ and those with disabilities.

Benefits of Goldsmiths University of London Football Writers Association Bursary 2023
The £5,000 bursary will be split between a grant of £4,000 towards tuition fees and a fund of up to £1,000 administered by the FWA for living fees/equipment/expenses.
- The successful candidate will also become a full FWA member
- The successful candidate will receive mentorship from a senior FWA member and advice on career advancement
- The successful candidate will also be given paid work placement with the Football Manager Video Game at a mutually convenient time.
Requirements for Goldsmiths University of London Football Writers Association Bursary 2023
A shortlist of applicants will be drawn up and those on the shortlist will be invited to a brief interview to decide the final recipient.
