Good News as MoE hints of introducing national prospectus for 2023 1st-yr Free SHS students
Given the school-specific Free SHS prospectus which has been characterised by strange and unnecessary items being required by schools, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has Good hinted ut will of introducing a national prospectus for 2023 1st-yr Free SHS students.
What this means is that students placed in any Free SHS effective the 2023/2024 academic year will have the same prospectus for 2023 1st-yr Free SHS students irrespective of the public secondary school he or she is placed in.
Introducing a national prospectus for 2023 1st-yr Free SHS students is the way to go as many Ghanaians have been calling for this in the last three years.
The call for this intensified in the 2022/2023 academic year.

The Ministry of Education has also tasked a committee to work on an approved prospectus to be given to 2023 BECE graduates awaiting computer placement into various public Senior High/Technical Schools. This prospectus will be released even before the West African Examinations Council releases the 2023 BECE results.
The Education Minister has also stated that no authorities of government Senior High School will be allowed to issue self-made prospectuses to first-year students to be admitted in their school.
