According to Captain Smart, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has right from the onset, opposed the e-levy proposal. However, Nana Addo, Ken Ofori Atta, Gabby Otchere Darko, and Nana Asante Bediatuo went ahead to push for the passage of the e-levy bill. Captain Smart has revealed that ever since Dr. Bawumia’s suggestions are no longer taken. He revealed that because of the gross disrespect against the Vice President, Samira Bawumia approached the Chief of Staff. Captain Smart alleged that Samira Bawumia complained bitterly about how his husband is been treated. She also threatened to make her husband sign a sick leave so that Nana Addo and his family would do that which pleased them.

Captain Smart further alleged that right from the onset, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, had wanted Ken Ofori Atta to succeed him as flagbearer of the NPP and President of the country. The reason has been that President Nana Addo wants someone to cover up the financial scandals that have taken under his tenure.
