If the paper has subheadings, read the instructions for the entire paper and the specific instructions for each section and ensure you understand it.
STEP 2: Underline the keywords in the questions you have read. The keywords may be related to the topic or the requirements of the question.
STEP 3: Use the underlined keywords to guide you determine which topic the question falls under. This can help you recollect the issues discussed under the topic.
STEP 5: Choose questions you believe you can answer very well. Do not choose difficult questions to prove you are a brilliant question. That is dangerous.
STEP 6: Jot down points to be used to answer the question. Think through the points, whilst properly arranging them in your mind.
STEP 7: When you decide to answer selected questions, answer the ones you know you can easily solve first. Doing this can boost your confidence in the exam hall. Solve the difficult questions last. Choose the relevant examples, statistics, drawings, or sketches to use to support your answer. These are awarded often. They also confirm that you understand what you are writing for the examiner. In some instances, the answers cover the weakness in your question. Write with speed but ensure you keep your focus and remain calm throughout the examination.
STEP 8: Use indentations; begin each paragraph with a topic sentence; support the topic sentence(s) with reasons and/or examples; use transition words to show logical organization; write a conclusion. Use correct punctuation throughout.
Do not create your own questions in the examination hall or re-assemble questions from others to create a new one. For example, some students notice that they can solve.
Q1a, Q2c, Q4b and so they pick these questions and provide answers for them under one question. Once the examiner applies the marking scheme to your answers, you will be caught. You are surely going to score fewer marks or nothing if you do this.
Bonus guide:
Always write clearly so that the examiner can read your handwriting.
Number answers very well to ensure you have not mixed them up.
Read over your answer again and check if all the main ideas have been included.
Read through your answers and make spelling and grammatical corrections without painting the answers and pages. Cross through a word or sentence just once and continue answering the questions.
