How To Calculate BECE Grades
BECE Grades are computed by taking the six best subjects from your BECE results.
Assuming you had the BECE grades listed below, here’s how to calculate your BECE results:
ENGLISH LANGUAGE 2
SOCIAL STUDIES 1
REL.& MORAL EDUC. 2
MATHEMATICS 2
INTEGRATED SCIENCE 1
INFO. & COMM.TECH. 3
FRENCH 1
B.D.T./HOME ECONOMICS 1
How To Calculate
Initially, you have to choose the best two of your electives which are; RME, ICT, BDT, and French. With the Core subjects (Maths, English, Science, and Social Studies) are fixed.
From the results above, English Language + Social Studies + Mathematics + Integrated Science = 2+1+2+1= 6. Hence, the total for the Core subjects is 6.
You have to choose your best two subjects from the electives. So, from the results above the best two elective subjects are French and BDT. So, this implies that; ICT + BDT = 1+1= 2, the total for the elective subjects is 2.
Now to calculate your overall aggregate for the result above we add the total of the Core subjects and that of the elective subjects.
So, 6+2 = 8, this means that the final BECE Aggregate for the result above is 8.
