How to Calculate 2022 BECE Results Aggregate
The BECE results and the raw score are crucial but for the determination of the candidate’s school which he or she is placed, the raw score will make all the difference.
To calculate a candidate’s BECE aggregate score, which is the sum of specific grades obtained per subject.
Follow this procedure:
1. Add all the individual aggregates obtained for the core subjects, thus, English Language, Mathematics, Science and Social Science.
2. Look through the other subjects left and choose two subjects with the lowest grades.
3. Add the total of the core subject aggregate scores and the best two other subject aggregates to obtain your overall BECE aggregate..
Example;
Step 1: Aggregates obtained from the core subjects
English Language= 2
Mathematics = 1
Integrated Science = 2
Social Studies = 1
Sub-total = 6
Step 2: Aggregates obtained from the best two other subjects
ICT = 1
BDT = 1
Ghanaian Language (Twi) = 2
French = 2
We choose ICT and BDT as the best two with sub-total aggregates = 1 + 1 = 2.
Student’s aggregate score = 6 + 2
Student’s total aggregate score = 8
