I Have Never Dated Anyone On TV – Sarkodie In A 2015 Interview

The well-known Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie was interviewed in 2015 and revealed some of his views on parenting, his cultural background, and his commitment to maintaining his privacy.
Recent events have reignited interest in his past, particularly in light of the actress Yvonne Nelson’s claims regarding their alleged encounter in 2010.
Speaking with Delay, Sarkodie expressed his affection for children, stating, “I like babies, I like kids, I wish I could have a baby and the baby would never grow up and I could take care of the baby while she stays a baby.”
His heartfelt words revealed a deep yearning for fatherhood and admiration for the joys of parenting.
When asked about his plans for having a baby, Sarkodie joked about his Ashanti heritage, saying, “I don’t plan.” I am an Ashanti, and we want more. If I wait for my timing, I will die before giving birth.”
Delay continued the conversation by inquiring about the possible mother of Sarkodie’s future child.
In response, Sarkodie stated unequivocally, “We can’t talk about that.”
He was steadfast in his decision to keep his personal relationships private, a rare stance in the world of celebrity.
Sarkodie stated emphatically, “I can say for a fact with you that I have never had anything to do with anyone on TV.”
This statement effectively ended any speculation about his involvement with members of the entertainment industry, emphasizing his preference for cultivating relationships away from public scrutiny.
However, Yvonne Nelson’s revelations in her memoir, titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ which was released on June 18, 2023, have recently drawn attention to the rapper.
Yvonne Nelson revealed a significant event from 2010 in a chapter titled ‘Abortion,’ shedding light on Sarkodie’s pregnancy and his subsequent refusal to accept responsibility.
Ms. Nelson was forced to make the difficult decision to have an abortion as a result of this. In an excerpt from her book, Yvonne shared an emotional account of the moment she went for a pregnancy test with her friend Karen.
Nelson was deeply affected by the test because she realized the outcome could have life-changing consequences.
Overwhelmed, she contacted the man who had impregnated her, Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie.
The public is now grappling with the complexities and sensitivities surrounding the rapper’s previous actions and their consequences for those involved.
As the story progresses, it remains to be seen how Sarkodie and the others involved will deal with the fallout and address the public’s concerns.
