He broke his silence after being released from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission’s custody (ICPC).
D’Banj was arrested on Tuesday night, December 6, when he went to the commission to answer questions about his alleged involvement in the fraudulent diversion of funds earmarked by the Federal government for the N-Power project, an empowerment program established by the Nigerian government in 2016 to address youth unemployment and social development.
He was released on Friday, December 9, after three days of questioning.
D’Banj started this evening on his Instagram page that he has no business dealing with fraud.
“Global thank you to the world,” he writes in his post. I was invited to participate in an ongoing investigation at ICPC.
“I have given the commission everything I know, and I am confident in their ability to uncover the truth.
“I have nothing to do with fraud; all I do is chop people’s lives. Because nothing was seen or found on me, I was released on self-recognition. All my people, God bless you.”
