I learned a rather bitter lesson after the 2019 presidential primaries- Edudzi Tamakloe reveals
A member of the National Democratic Congress legal team, Edudzi Tamakloe, has dropped a shocking revelation of some internal problems happening in the National Democratic Congress. According to him, there is a self-inflicted problem that always happens before and after internal contests.
Edudzi disclosed that after the 2019 presidential primaries, he learned a bitter lesson. He revealed how some people he believed were his friends spread outrageous lies about his personality.
” Some of the lies I heard about myself I was in shock. One day you will know that the person you are defending is the one behind the trigger. May God help the NDC out of this self-inflicted problem.”, Edudzi revealed.
Edudzi wrote;
“I have learned something in this internal contest. Someone will deliberately attack you, and immediately after you respond to the attacks, that same person who initiated the unprovoked attacks would start playing the victim.
Let us be careful. We are all human. When you pray for rain, it will come with mud. But then again, chaos is a ladder for many. Merchants of confusion. We are making it difficult for genuine reconciliation. We are getting complacent. Until we recognize that we need everyone to win, we will be doing this. The accusations and counter-accusations.
I learned a rather bitter lesson after the 2019 presidential primaries. How alliances realigned immediately after the primaries. When you are throwing stones remember that there will be tomorrow. When they lie about you, just make sure it is not true. Some of the lies I heard about myself I was in shock. One day you will know that the person you are defending is the one behind the trigger. May God help the NDC out of this self-inflicted problem.”

Speaking about NDC internal elections, the incumbent National Youth Organiser of the NDC, George Opare Addo, has retained his position after a keenly contested election in Cape Coast on Saturday.
Pablo, as affectionately called, beat his sole contender, Yaw Brogya Genfi by obtaining 533 votes.
Brogya Genfi, who was the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser, failed to annex the portfolio, after amassing a total of 508 votes of the valid votes cast.
Pablo’s win marks his second successive victory over Brogya Genfi, after beating him in the 2018 contest.
Having retained his seat, Pablo, a trained lawyer, will serve as the leader of the party’s Youth wing for the next four years; leading the NDC’s youth into the 2024 general election.
In the race for the party’s Deputy National Organiser, Osman Abdulai Ayriga and Ruth Dela Seddoh emerged victorious in that regard.

In a related development, the party’s National Women’s Organiser, Dr Hannah Bissiw, also retained her slot as the leader of the Women’s Wing of the NDC.
Meanwhile, the NDC will hold the next phase of its national delegates conference next week Saturday, to elect a new national chairman, secretary and persons to occupy other portfolios.
Check out the aspirant of each of the positions. Over 80 aspirants will contest for the National Executive positions.
