IGP, POMAB take Snatch Them Young Policing Initiative to Assin Kruwa
The Snatch Them Young Policing Initiative (STYPI) continues to gain momentum as it reaches the serene town of Assin Kruwa in the Central Region of Ghana. On a sunny Friday morning, the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, alongside members of the Police Management Board, extended their educational and interactive mission to pupils in the local circuit of schools.
The enthusiastic young pupils eagerly shared their thoughts on security concerns and their perceptions of the police. It was a heartwarming interaction, fostering a sense of trust and understanding between law enforcement and the future generation.
During this engaging session, the IGP and his team took the opportunity to educate the children on fundamental security matters. They emphasized that security is a collective responsibility, highlighting how everyone, regardless of their age, can play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of their communities.

This visit to Assin Kruwa follows a similar initiative that took place on September 19, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Adenta, Accra. The IGP’s commitment to engaging with the youth and creating an open dialogue with them underlines the importance of nurturing positive relationships between the police force and the nation’s younger generation.
The Snatch Them Young Policing Initiative (STYPI) is a groundbreaking effort that aims to create a safer and more trusting society. By engaging with schoolchildren and communities across the country, the initiative seeks to lay the foundation for mutual respect and understanding, fostering a harmonious relationship between law enforcement and the citizenry.
This approach promises to be a significant step forward in building a better, more secure future for Ghana. With each interaction, the STYPI reinforces the idea that a safer nation is everyone’s responsibility, and it starts with the youth, who represent the future guardians of peace and security in the country.
