I’ve Parked My V8; I Can’t Spend GH₵2000 Each Week – NPP MP ‘Cries’
Sylvester Tetteh, the NPP MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom, has been very upset about how much fuel prices have gone up.
The price of fuel keeps going up, which hurts almost every part of the economy.
Because the price of gasoline keeps going up and down, the cost of goods and transportation has gone through the roof.
Hon. Sylvester Tetteh said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” program that, even as a member of Parliament, he is so upset by the high cost of gas that he has decided to park his car.
He says that it costs him about GHC 2,000 to fuel his V8 car, but he can’t do that again.
So, “I left my V8 at home and now drive my mother’s car. I can’t pay for the price of gas. With the V8, I spend 2000 cedis a week on gas. It means that I spend 8000 cedis on gas every month. My salary isn’t even enough to cover that, so I’ve parked my car and am now using a car that doesn’t cost that much to fill up, “He said.
