Tilapia Da Cartoonist has released another hilarious cartoon dubbed Jack Toronto Stars’ last-minute changes! It depicts how President Nana Addo’s government decided to make last-minute ministerial appointment changes.

For Ghanaians who have commented on the artwork, the art piece by Tilapia Da Cartoonist provides a vivid summary of Ghana’s current economic and leadership challenges at the national level.  Comments such as “Lol, why are debt and rent so big and tall yet the salary as a sub is even shorter than the president? So funny”, “Just one art and it explains everything you need to know about this country and what is going on.”  “Correct representation of Ghana at the moment! Big ups, Tilapia,” tells us the thoughts of many Ghanaians; however, there are others who have divergent opinions and believe that all is well.

Again, while the cost of living has gone up, the government increased the salaries of public sector workers by 23%, which is captured as a substitute in the artwork. As to whether the 23% will remain relevant and enough in the face of inflation and the high cost of goods and services, Ghanaians wait to see.

Nana Addo is seen giving a pep talk t0 the “23% salary” increase, while Vice President Dr. Bawumia looks eager to say something.
