Job Vacancy For Head of Credits

A reputable Rural Bank in the Eastern Region is seeking qualified personal to fill the following vacancy: Head of Credits

Role Summary

• Responsible for managing and maintaining the bank’s credit portfolio to improve its quality or health so as to minimize risk, defaults and losses and maximise profitability
• Responsible for developing skillful credits staff, as well as credit culture. Responsible for establishing formal and legitimate policies and procedures that will ensure that credit judgment is experienced by the bank to earn a fair financial returns

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of first degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university plus at least 10 years working experience in the banking industry with 5 years in senior management position
• A relevant professional qualification plus 7 years post qualification experience in rural banking industry with at least 4 years in senior management position
• A knowledge of financial ratio analysis in appraising commercial loans will be an advantage
