Students Of Kumasi SHTS Cry For Classroom Furniture
Students of Kumasi Senior High Technical School (SHTS) are crying to the Akufo-Addo-led government over the shortage of classroom furniture in their school.
In a video making waves on the internet shows the current state of Kumasi Senior High Technical School. The current state of the school is in a bad shape.

One SHS 2 student was interviewed and he narrated what the current situation in the school is. According to him, due to the shortage of furniture on campus, two or more students are asked to manage and use one desk at the same time. He believes that it is very stressful to study in class where students need to sit together on the same chair.

“In our class, we have like 20 desks. We are 38 in a class and some have to sit two two on the same desk and sometimes three-three. Also there is lack of facilities on our school. The form two students are over 2700 and we have few facilities.” he spoke in twi.

He added that due to this the form two students sometimes take advantage of the juniors by taking their furniture away from them.
He also talked about the kind of food being served to them at the dining hall. He explained that the school sometimes give them tea without bread or kenkey with little shito.
“About the dining hall, the food being given to us somehow. They can give is food without bread. Sometimes, kenkey with small shito. To be frank, we lack things”
Students of the school are currently urging the Akufo Addo-led government and the ministry of education to come to their aide. There wouldn’t be a better education of the condition of learning in the school is poor.
