Job Vacancy For Mechanical Engineer

Job Role

• To plan, develop mechanical engineering designs and implement as well as monitor and conduct site works to ensure quality mechanical works

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical engineering designs for in-house projects
• Conduct site inspections of ongoing projects to ensure quality mechanical works done on the site
• Attend project meetings at site and elsewhere to assist with the smooth running of projects
• Audit mechanical engineering designs / technical reports submitted by consultants
• Provide mechanical engineering specifications for design briefs for consultants engaged to implement projects
• Prepare request for proposals (RFPs) for procurement of consultants
• Prepare evaluation reports and assist in negotiations
• Audit consultants fee claims for payment in accordance with consultancy agreements

Supervisory Duties

• Supervise project teams with respect to the mechanical engineering aspects of project planning, design and implementation

Qualification Required & Experience

• BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Membership of Ghana Institution of Engineers

Specific Work Experience

• 5 years
