Job Vacancy For Procurement Officer

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join a reputable herbal medicine manufacturing company. You must be knowledgeable about procurement and supply standards and practices, as well as familiar with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.

You will be working with members of your team, as well as other departments to ensure the management of daily procurement activities in the company from request to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing, purchasing and sourcing operations.
• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
• Partner with superior on procurement plans to meet business strategies
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure advantageous terms
• Build and maintain long term relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Maintain procurement records and keep them current, review contracts and maintain an efficeint central file system for contracts and renewals to ensure contract compliance
• Assist in negotiating contracts, terms and deadlines
• Conduct cost analysis and setting benchmarks for continuous improvement
• Perform risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements
• Continually manage and evaluate the performance of each vendor to ensure the partnership remains mutually beneficial
• Prepare procurement reports

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management or any related field
• 2 to 3 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a similar position is preferable
• Professional certification in Procurement or Supply or Supply Chain Management (CIPS, CPCP) will be an added advantage
• High standards of personal integrity and adherence to professional and ethical standards
• Strong problem-solving, creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
