John Boadu appointed as Director-General of SIGA

Former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has been given an appointment as acting Director-General of State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA).
The appointment was issued by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo dated December 11, 2023, signed by Nana Asare Bediatuo, Secretary to the president.
“Pursuant to Section 17 (2) of the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990), I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Director-General of State Interests and Governance Authority (the “Authority”) pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment.
Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within 14 days of receipt of this letter.”

During the NPP internal elections to select new Executives to break the eight, Mr. John Boadu lost his seat to current Secretary, Mr. Justin Kodua in 2022.
Since the defeats, Mr. John Boadu has been off on the media, as he used to talk for the sitting government.
Mr. John Boadu will succeed Mr. Edward Boateng who recently retired from his position.
State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA) is a government entity with mandate of managing the performance of State Owned Enterprises and also promote the efficient and profitable of state institutions.
Mr John Boadu is an accountant by profession and Politician with five children.
He hails from Assin Fosu in the central region of Ghana.
He attended Opoku Ware Secondary school, where he obtained his GCE Advanced Level Certificate.
Not only that, but he furthered to University of Ghana, Legon where he studied Business Administration (Accounting option)
