John Dumelo Walks Backwards, Barefooted to PRESEC Legon After Presec Legon Won the 2023 NSMQ (Video)
It is official: John Dumelo walks backwards, barefooted, to PRESEC Legon to honour his words after the 2023 NSMQ finals.
John Dumelo fulfilled the promise he made ahead of the finals of the 2023 NSMQ grand finale. Prior to the showdown, it was indicated that Achimota School was going to win the contest and that he would walk backward from Ayawaso West Constituency to the PRESEC Legon campus should the 7-time champions, PRESEC Legon, win the contest.
Following the victory of Presec in the finals, pressure was mounted on John Dumelo on TV, radio, and social media to honour his words.
His sincerity and ethical uprightness were pushed to their limits, and on the morning of 31st October, the actor, farmer, and politician fulfilled the promise.
He started the journey from the main gate of the University of Ghana to Presec. On the day, he made it more colourful by having the Ghana flag wrapped around his waist with a black T-shirt to match.
Presec beat Achimota School and Opoku Ware School in the finals held at the National Theatre in Accra to clinch an enviable eighth title. The closest school is Prempeh College, which has won it 5 times.

Who is John Dumelo?
