John Mamaha’s first 3 ministerial appointments described as Tot Tot appointment and unacceptable – Afenyo Markins
The minority leader, Hon. Afenyo Markins, has described the John Mamaha’s first 3 ministerial appointments (minister-designates) as a tot-tot appointment and called on the government to make available all minister-designates for all ministries.
The tot-tot appointment described implies the use of a piecemail approach to doing something. However, the approach has been described by others are the best which focuses on the three key ministeries around which the others hinge. John Mahama has also promised not to appoint more than 60 ministers in his government which could also explain the careful piecemail approach he has adopted.
Hon. Afenyo Markins descriptipn of the approach as a tot-tot approach was made on the floor of parliament today, 9th January, 2025, during the usual parliamentary sitting.
According to him for a government that promised the people of Ghana a 24-hour economy, the minority expected them to be more swift with their ministerial appointments.
John Mamaha’s first 3 ministerial appointments
The John Mahama-led administration has currently put forth three minister-designates. These are
Ato Forson, Dominic Ayine, and John Jinapor as ministers-designate for Finance Minister, Attorney General and Energy, respectively.
