Jomoro MP Wins NPP Election Petition Against Her
The Takoradi High Court has dismissed the NPP’s election petition against the Member of Parliament for the Jomoro constituency, Honorable Dorcas Toffey.
It will be recalled that the NPP had made an election petition to challenge the eligibility of Honorable Dorcas Toffey to contest the 2020 parliamentary election.
The petition was filed by one Joshua Kwofie and Madam Dorcas Toffey was made the 1st respondent and the Electoral Commission (EC) was named the 2nd respondent.
The verdict of this petition was made this morning in the Takoradi High court and the verdict or mandate of the Jomoro people has been protected.
Some NDC Members of Parliament and other lawyers went in their numbers to support their colleagues. In attendance at the court hearing was Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Honorable Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe, Honorable Emmanuel Buah, Henrietta Brew, Edudzi Tamakloe and other bigwigs.
