JUST IN: Am Sorry, Forgive Me; Sammy Gyamfi Begs Samira Bawumia For Forgiveness

Sammy Gyamfi, who is in charge of communications for the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken back and apologized for a claim he made about Second Lady Samira Bawumia.

On November 7, 2022, he said on Neat FM in Accra, Ghana, that Samira Bawumia had a V8 Land cruiser and a makeup artist just for her makeup. This is on record.

Neat FM, which is owned by Despite Media Group, was asked in writing to take back and apologize for the comments.

A letter sent to the Manager of Neat FM on November 9, 2022, from the Second Lady’s lawyers, Sarkodie Baffuor Awuah and Associates, said that the claim made on the “Me Man Nti” show was not true.

The letter said that Sammy Gyamfi was allowed to spread the rumor and that the host’s failure to stop him made Mrs. Bawumia look like someone who is insensitive, wasteful, and unreasonable in the minds of “right-thinking members of society.”

The two things that were asked for were for Sammy Gyamfi to take back his claims on the same show and for the host of the show to apologize to the Second Lady without any conditions.

In a follow-up interview on Wednesday, Sammy Gyamfi said that he was sorry for lying about the Second Lady.

He admitted that what he said was not true and that he should take back what he said and say sorry.

“There isn’t a single brand-new Landcruiser in the Second Lady’s convoy that carries her makeup kit and artist. The office of the Second Lady says that there is no V8 that can carry her makeup kit and artist, so it’s only fair that I take back what I said. “I’m sorry,” said Sammy Gyamfi.
