JUST IN: Christian Atsu’s one week observation set for March 4
The one-week memorial for late Ghana international Christian Atsu has been set for Saturday, March 4.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Sports Ministry, and Atsu’s family met at the player’s home to discuss the issue.
Evans Bobie, the Deputy Minister of Sports, led the GFA and Sports Ministry representatives in sending condolences to the grieving family ahead of Christian Atsu’s one-week observation scheduled for March 4.
Atsu was discovered dead on February 18 after spending 12 days buried in debris as a result of the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria and left over 47,000 people dead.
The 31-year-old remains were flown from Turkey to Ghana on Sunday.
