In this modern era of education, Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced a system called teacher Validation. This validation is done by validators in various schools. The essence of this validation is to give legit approval for the Government to pay teachers their monthly salaries and yearly bonuses.
In every job or work, there is a need for promotion. Under GES (Ghana Education Service) promotion is also done for teachers based on the number of years served or level of qualification within a time frame.
Currently, some teachers under the Ghana Education Service have been promoted to various ranks in the teaching profession. It is therefore clear that all those teacher who have been promoted are entitled to receive an increment in their monthly salaries.
With this, an important message has been sent across all the sixteen 16 regions in Ghana and to all validators in the various schools to be aware that, all the newly promoted teachers to their new rank are expected to be validated so that they can receive their salaries in full which will reflect their promotion rank.
As if that is not enough, all Validators are to note that, the newly promoted teachers to their various ranks have been put on scale and they are expected to receive their about three(3) months arrears. The three (3) months arrears is expected to take place from June 2023.
“On validation and promotion issues

PS is a rank in the teaching profession which represents the principal superintendent. On the other hand, ADS 1 under GES ranks means Assistant Director One (1). The higher an individual or a teacher climbs the Ghana Education Service ranks, the higher his or her salary.
