A long weekend has been declared for all basic school children in the country.
The long weekend came as a result of the festivity of Muslims which is termed Eid Al Fitr. The Muslims climax their thirty days fasting and prayers yesterday Friday 21st of April to 2023. Taking this into considerations, the office of the president through the ministry of Education has declared Monday 24th April 2023 as republic Holiday in Ghana.
In connection to this, Students especially those at the basic level will not go to school on Monday. This is a long weekend for them. It will also help them to embrace Religious tolerance as they celebrate with the Muslims on their special day.
