Basic Schools To Have a Long Weekend.

Education is one of the most essential elements making life meaningful on earth. It is good to be educated. Before you climb to the top of the education ladders, you must start from the Basic schools. Basic schools forms the fundamental of all educational ladders in the country. A long weekend has been declared for all basic school children in the country.

The long weekend came as a result of the festivity of Muslims which is termed Eid Al Fitr. The Muslims climax their thirty days fasting and prayers yesterday Friday 21st of April to 2023. Taking this into considerations, the office of the president through the ministry of Education has declared Monday 24th April 2023 as republic Holiday in Ghana.

In connection to this, Students especially those at the basic level will not go to school on Monday.  This is a long weekend for them. It will also help them to embrace Religious tolerance as they celebrate with the Muslims on their special day.

Parents must take note that, Tuesday is not Holiday and students must report to school on Tuesday for Effective classrooms lessons. During the festivity, Children must not be allowed to go out to unknown places for the fear of getting missing and also to prevent them from accident.
