JUST IN: NPP Headquarters Releases Wild Statement Over Ken Ofori Atta’s Removal -See Statement
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) wants everyone to stay calm after some of its members of parliament called for the removal of Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta and Minister of State at the Finance Ministry Charles Adu Boahen.
The party said that it is working with the MPs in question to solve the problems.
In a statement, the NPP said, “The leadership of the party is currently talking to both the government and the parliamentary group. It urges all parties to stay calm while it looks for a peaceful way out of the stalemate.”

Despite many attempts, MPs complained the government didn’t assist their people with the dismal economy.
They convened a news conference on Thursday, October 20, 2022, to discuss their concerns and demand the deaths of Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen.
On Tuesday, Asante-Akim North Constituency MP Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, a spokesman for the disgruntled Majority party, informed the media that sacking Ofori-Atta and Adu Boahen would boost Ghana’s economy.
But the NPP hopes to find a solution that works out well.
“Here, the party’s leaders say again that they will always work with the government on issues that are important to the party, the government, and the people.”
In the meantime, President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo has told the majority of MPs who want Ken Ofori-Atta to step down as Finance Minister to wait.
He is pleading with the lawmakers to hold back until Ghana’s talks with the International Monetary Fund over (IMF)
The President said that removing Ken Ofori-Atta from his job will mess up the plan.
Nana Akufo-Addo asked the angry MPs to calm down when he met with them at the Jubilee House.
Citi News has heard that the MPs don’t like the appeal and still want the Finance Minister to leave.
