“Deductions from August 2023, Personnel Allowance. Information reaching the National Service Committee is that some extra deductions have been made on the August 2023 payment of Personnel Allowances. Leadership followed up with the Accounts Department this morning to confirm otherwise. Initial checks confirmed that the deductions were inadvertently affected through the automated system which was used to for the July 2023 allowance. Management of the scheme is therefore in agreement with the leadership that the over-deductions should be refunded to all National Service Personnel across the country. Leadership therefore appeals for calm among the rank and file while we work and ensure that the monies inadvertently deducted are duly and promptly refunded to affected personnel across the country. We wish you all well, Signed by Gideon Osei, National President, NSS”.
Just as it was stated in the letter from the National President, National Service Personnel have confirmed that the NSS refund deducted allowance. All 25 Ghana Cedis has been refunded and proves were made.
