Kikibee CEO Murder: Court grants Police green light to access mobile phones of 3 persons
In a recent development in the murder case of Bennette Agyekum Adomah, the CEO of Kikibee Restaurant, a Madina District Court has granted the Police permission to access the mobile phones of three key individuals linked to the case. The deceased, Mr. Adomah’s phone, Mam Yandey Joof (the deceased’s alleged girlfriend), and Roy Addy Lamptey’s phones are to be examined for call logs, shedding light on potential connections.
The court, presided over by Ms. Sussan Nyarkotey, has also instructed the Police to provide copies of Adomah’s autopsy report to both the court and the defense counsel. The move comes as the prosecution expressed suspicions of a “conspiracy” and sought to gather more evidence through phone records.
Inspector Jameson Awumey revealed that Adomah’s autopsy report was ready, although its contents were not disclosed during the court proceedings. The defense counsel, Muniru Kassim, disagreed with the prosecution’s approach, emphasizing the need for a formal application and highlighting that the investigations seemed to be based on suspicion.
Following the court session, family members of the accused individuals were reportedly relieved when the defense counsel hinted that the autopsy report was favorable to their case. The court has adjourned the matter to November 30, 2023.

Mam Yandey Joof, the alleged girlfriend, currently faces murder charges and has been remanded by the District Court. The prosecution’s narrative suggests an amorous relationship between the deceased and the accused person spanning three years. Adomah’s return from overseas on October 7, 2023, marked a series of events leading to his tragic death.
On October 8, 2023, Adomah visited Joof’s residence in Ogbojo, near Madina. Subsequently, he reportedly exhibited erratic behavior and expressed fear of being pursued by unknown individuals. The situation escalated, drawing attention from the tenants in the house. Joof sought help from a friend of the deceased, leading to the discovery of Adomah’s lifeless body in Joof’s kitchen.
The deceased was rushed to DEL Hospital at East Legon, but succumbed shortly after arrival. The police investigation unveiled blood-stained broken ceramic glasses at Joof’s apartment, and an inspection of the body revealed a cut on the deceased’s left thumb. The case remains intricate, with further details expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds.
