Killer Virus – A Coronavirus Poem by Edem Fodeka

This is a coronavirus poem: THE KILLER VIRUS
By Edem Fodeka
The killer virus
The killer virus
Is not the undeadly virus
The killer virus
Is poverty friendly
And an enemy to riches
The killer virus
Which kills and destroys
Faster than the richly friendly
If the killer virus
Were richly friendly
The big men
And the power holders
Would have paraded
All their attention
On it
See how Corona Virus
Has become a threat
To their lives
Even their first-class flight
Abroad to seek
For what the poor cannot
Is no more about money
Oh! how I wish
The killer virus
Were richly friendly
Oh! How I wish
Corona Virus
Were a real killer virus
Look at my facemask
Corona is not much of a threat
But look at my head
Down to my hand
That’s where
I am slowly killed
By a known virus
With a known vaccine
Which has a hundred percent
Cure for all
Far better than the chemical vaccine
With lots of side effects
Killer virus Hmmm!
The rich have no time
For hunger virus
Which kills many each day
Cos they have the vaccine
And care less about the rest
If only the hand of the clock
Could turn one day
For hunger, virus to be richly friendly
Then shall we see
Where their attention
Will head.
