KNUST New 2024/2025 Re-Opening and Admissions Dates and Guidelines Out

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has released a new 2024/2025 Academic Year Re-Opening and Admissions Update along with Key Dates and Guidelines for all students.

 

Update on Re-Opening for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

  1. A new re-opening date for prospective first year undergraduate Ghanaian students will be announced after the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
  2. International students who have been offered admission for the 2024/2025 academic year will report on the 4th January 2025.
  3. All first-year Postgraduate students shall report on the 4th of January 2025 as scheduled.
  4. All Continuing students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) shall report on 11th January 2025.

Selection of Candidates for Admission into the School of Medical Sciences and the School of Dentistry

Applicants for Admission into the School of Medical Sciences and the School of Dentistry for the 2024/2025 Academic Year are to note the following:

  1. There will be an Entrance examination and Interview for all shortlisted applicants on Monday, 6th January 2025 at 8:00am.
  2. All WASSCE candidates who have applied for BSc. Human Biology (Medicine) and had aggregate 8 or better, should check the portal via (HERE!) by 8:00am on Sunday, 5th January, 2025.

All WASSCE candidates who have applied for BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry) and had aggregate 10 or better, should check the portal via (HERE!) by 8:00am on Sunday, 5th January, 2025.

  1. The calculation of the aggregates is based on 3 Core Subjects: English, Integrated Science and Core Mathematics and 3 Elective Subjects: Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics or Elective Mathematics which one is better.
  2. All Advance Level (A-Level) Applicants who had aggregate 08 or better should check the portal via (HERE!) by 8:00am on Sunday, 5th January, 2025.

(NB. ONLY shortlisted applicants would be allowed to write the entrance examination and attend the interview. Candidates are advised to confirm their eligibility via (HERE!).

  1. Applicants would be required to pay an Entrance Examination Fee of Three Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GHȻ 350.00).
  2. It is advised that candidates avoid middlemen in their quest to seek admission. Selection is exclusively by merit.
