Kwame Sefa Kayi Apologizes To The NDC After 5 Years of Boycotting Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Show

Kwame Sefa Kayi apologizes to the NDC after the party boycotted the show since 2020. Celebrated journalist and the morning host of Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning program has publicly apologized to the NDC.

The renowned journalist has rendered his apology to the NDC after 5 years of feud. Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ host apologized to Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC in an interview this morning with Nana Yaw Kesse.

“I take responsibility for the feud between Kokrokoo and the NDC. I apologize. They should come, and let’s work together,” he humbly apologized on phone. He again added that, the party needs the platform, and they also need the party just like how the left-hand washes the right hand, the right hand also washes the left hand (he said in the local language).

The National Democratic Congress accused the host of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo of bias and unfairness towards them for years which led to they boycotting the show. Their boycott happened in 2020 after an incident happened between Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi and Kwame Sefa Kayi.

After 5 years of boycotting and being in opposition, the platform neither made efforts to restore calm and apologize but comes after their massive victory in the December polls. For five years, Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi stayed quite on the matter?

On the other hand, NDC’s Kevin Taylor, the founder and owner of Loud Silence Media has warned NDC officials not to tolerate this apology and that the party’s original decision to boycott the show shouldn’t be reversed.

@Agya Yaw via Facebook: “If any NDC member tries any nonsense and goes to that radio station that’ll be the end of his/her political career”

@Paul Assogba via Facebook: “NDC don’t attempt to go back. If you go there you have your self to be blame. NDC won without going to Peace Fm”

@Nana_kesse1 via X: “I will be disappointed in NDC if they go back to Kokrooko. I remember how Kwame Sefa Kayi embarrassed Sammy Gyamfi on the show one time. Truth is Social media is the magic. The Political parties don’t need the traditional media to sell their message. The media need them to sell”.

@marcnarh99 via X: “My problem with these people is not the late and convinient apologies, it’s about the fact that their brains don’t work as smart as we thought their brains work. Any dull brain could have known that ndc was coming to power 2 years ago. Only if their apologies came earlier”.

@HeyMrCarter5 via X: “@SammyGyamfi_ remember how he did you dirty. Why didn’t he apologize and seek reconciliation when NDC was in opposition. He didn’t do that last year. Now he claims NDC boycotted the morning show when he knows very well he asked you to walk out”

@ohenekubati via X: “Why didn’t he apologize when NDC was in opposition, NDC should not fall for this nonsense, anyway they won with a huge gap without them anyway”

@repsincere via X: “When you switch, stay there forever”

@eagleyez7 via X: “Lol after 5yrs it’s now that he wants the NDC on his platform? Make dem no mind am. Other platforms dey”
