Latest News: CSSPS Placement Portal Will Go Live this Week, Details Below

The Minister of Education announced to guardians, parents, students, and the public that the 2023-2024 Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) into Senior High School (SHS), The Technical Schools (SHTS)and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutes, will go live on November 2023, precisely this week.

Out of the total number of 571,892 registered candidates, 555,353 candidates have the qualities to be placed. A total of 367,811 candidates have automatically been placed in one of their choices, which means a total of 187,542 qualified candidates will have to do a SELF-PLACEMENT selection from available schools since they could not be matched with any of their choices.

To access the placement platform, candidates are to follow the steps below:

1.  Obtain a placement PIN CODE from an approved vendor (ghanaeducationnews).
2.  After obtaining a PIN CODE, log onto the site www.Cssps.gov.gh
3.  Enter the ten (10) digits index number and add 23 as the of competition, Eg. 010921600123.
4.  Enter the PIN CODE details (serial number pin)
5.  Click on submit and wait for placement to be displayed.
6.  Print the form if you have been placed and visit the school to begin the admission process. The system redirects you for self-placement if it has not been placed.

7.  Schools selected on the self-placement portal can be changed as many times as the candidates’ wishes until the ENROL in a school.

Self-placement module

If a candidate is not matched with any school of his choices from the automatic placement system, they will be redirected to a self-placement portal. A qualified candidate is required to select a school by providing the under-listed information:

1. Region
2. Residential preference
3. School
4. Programme of choice.

Important Note

School selected on the self-placement portal can be changed as many times as the candidate wishes until the ENROL in a school.
All schools with vacancies have been uploaded on the portal to enable candidates to select from during the self-placement process.

The public is assured of the ministry to ensure all qualified candidates are placed in Senior High school (SHS), Senior High Technical school (SHTS), and TVET Institut.
