There are a number of Ghanaian companies that give scholarships to smart but less well-off Ghanaians. Some of these scholarships are given out every year, while others don’t happen very often.
Also, the amount of the scholarship and the qualifications you need to meet to get it to vary from company to company.
These companies give scholarships in almost every field and at almost every level of study. You can apply for as many scholarships as you want, but some companies will turn down your application if you’ve already won one.
Companies that give scholarships in Ghana
Here is a list of Ghanaian scholarship companies.
Ghanaian students in Ghana can apply for a KNUST Kingdom Books and Stationery Bursary.
Kumasi has a public university called Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. It was set up to help people learn more about science and technology and to encourage research, good teaching, and training in business.
Through the Kingdom Books Bursary Scheme, Kingdom Books and Stationery gives money to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology students who are poor but smart.
This scholarship is only given to students who have done well in school and are thought to deserve it.
The Bursary is held once a year, and 50 students from the university will be chosen to receive the scholarship.

The scholarship, which is only given to 50 students each year, is given out as follows:
- 40% of Books and Paper Goods
- 60% is for user fees for Academy facilities (AFUF)

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology students in their second, third, or fourth year can apply for a scholarship from Unibank Ghana Limited.

- The applicant must be a full-time student at KNUST in their second, third, or fourth year.
- The applicant must show proof that they need the money.
- At the time of application, the applicant can’t already be getting money from another scholarship.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FROM UNIBANK GHANA LTD.
- The application forms can be downloaded from the website of Unibank.
- Application forms should be filled out and sent to the Office of the Dean of Students at KNUST in an A4 envelope with all the required documents.
The applicant should write their information in bold on the envelope in the following way:

The Ghana National Oil Company
In 1983, the Petroleum Department was replaced by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). It is in charge of issuing licenses, exploring for oil, and getting oil to people in Ghana.

Every year, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation gives scholarships to smart Ghanaian students who are in their first or second year of college or graduate school in Ghana.
These scholarships are for people who are less fortunate and want to study in any field.
Even though most Ghanaians are eligible for Ghana National Petroleum Corporation scholarships, applicants in the following groups are most likely to get one.

- Applicants can’t be older than 35 in the year they apply.
- At the time of application, the applicant must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program at a public university in Ghana.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE GHANA NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION (GNPC)
- To apply for a GNPC Scholarship, you need to fill out and send in the GNPC Scholarship Application Form, which you can find on the GNPC website.
