Speaking on Myjoyonline, Master Jeremiah Mawunyo is the current award winner at the JSA Phenomenal Abrantie.
12-year-old Jeremiah Komla Mawunyo Jnr has also adjudged the JSA Phenomenal Abrantie Award recipient during the flagship Phenomenal Abrantie contest held in March 2022. This contest tests the values, problem-solving, and innovative mettle of boys.
Speaking on the Economy on My Joyonline’s Joy Prime TV, he advised politicians on the bitter truth and not miss a chance to tell the President exactly what he needs to do about corruption which he is not doing.
Speaking on the economy and the high prices of goods and services he said the Ghanaian economy was struggling and this could be seen in the high prices of good and services.
“Currently, I know Ghana’s economy is not doing well or is not thriving because drastically prices of goods and services in the country have increased.” The ever-brilliant chap said.
Explaining how he came by that economics and financial understanding of the issues, he added that “At school at my canteen, a little piece of Samosa that used to go for 50 Pesewas has now shot up to GHS2.00
Advising the government, Master Jeremiah Mawunyo said “My advice to the government is that, they should be able to appoint competent people to state institutions, people who have skills relevant to the positions they have been given, people who have Ghana at heart.” He added that the government of Ghana must make sure that the laws and state institutions in the country work freely without any interference.
His final words targeted the leadership of President Nana Addo and his posture when it comes to truly fighting corruption in Ghana.
“…And the President himself should make sure that the laws punish any corrupt practices in the country.” He said.

Jeremiah joined five previous winners of this award who have all contributed meaningfully to JSA’s social impact projects.
Some of our past projects included raising funds to purchase sanitary towels for less-privileged girls in the Central Region of Ghana. The next contest is expected to be held in March 2023.
