Man survives after spending 3 days in a rat hole at Asempanaye

Agya Osei, 64, of Asempanaye, Juaboso District, Western North, almost died after he was found in a rathole.

Unit Committee Chairman Emmanuel Osei said Agya Osei went to gather cocoa on Saturday but didn’t return.

Saturday and Sunday, the community searched for him without success.

Mr. Osei informed Emmanuel Sowah, “We got there, and it was genuine, therefore we moved his head.”

After picking cocoa, he went rat hunting for soup. His head got jammed in a root while excavating the rathole, trapping him until the girls discovered him. He’s getting therapy at Asempanaye.
