Morocco vs Croatia: Check Out Relevant Facts From Both Teams And Who Is Likely To Win The Game.
All too soon the 2022 FIFA world cup which was projected some time ago is coming to an end. The world is ready to witness which Country or Nation can lift the trophy on Sunday, 18 December 2022.
Out of the 32 nations that participated in the world cup right from the beginning, all of them are now home remaining only the top four (France, Argentina, Morocco, and Croatia). FIFA scheduled the third and fourth to be played on Saturday 17th December 2022. The third and fourth will be played between Morocco and Croatia.
The Moroccan team desired to reach the finals of the tournament after defeating Portugal in the Quarter Finals. Unfortunately, the dream was shut when they conceded two goals from the defending champion France. This made it easy for Morocco to compete for third and fourth place in the tournament.
On the other hand, Croatia was desperate to win the trophy after scoring Samba Boys (Brazil) in the Quarter Finals. Just like Morocco, the Croatian team received their greatest defeat in the tournament when they conceded three (3) goals from Argentina in the Semifinals. This also made the Croatian team compete for third and fourth.
Looking at the statistics and facts, Morocco only conceded 3 goals in this tournament and their performance was incredible. At the group stages, Croatia and Morocco placed goalless. Morocco emerged at the top of the group and Croatian became a runner-up.
Fortunately or unfortunately, the two teams happen to play in third and fourth place emerging from the same group. In this tournament. This tournament happens to be the only tournament that Morocco happens to represent Africa in the semifinals.
This is never the case with Croatia. Croatia played in the FIFA World Cup finals against France in 2018. Unfortunately, they were not able to lift the trophy. France with Mbappe, Kante, and other team members won the trophy in 2018.
