MTN Reacts To Aburi Road Accident Involving One Of Its Vehicles And A Motorcycle

MTN Ghana has reacted to the recent accident which occured on the Aburi highway involving one of MTN’s vehicles and a motorcycle.

According to report, the MTN Van drove on the opposite lane, facing all incoming vehicles. A motorcycle, who was also using the lane crashed with this MTN Van, injuring the motor rider badly.

The accident is said to have happened at the section of the N4 Highway close to Peduase, on the Aburi Road, in the morning of Saturday, July 29, 2023

In a statement released by MTN on Wednesday, it revealed that both the MTN driver and the motorcycle rider are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. According to MTN, it regrets the incident which occured. MTN Ghana is therefore collaborating with the Ghana Police Service to investigate this incident.

MTN STATEMENT

MTN Ghana has received a report of an accident involving one of its vehicles and a motorcycle on a section of the N4 Highway close to Peduase, on the Aburi Road, in the morning of Saturday, July 29, 2023.

MTN Ghana deeply regrets the incident and would like to state that both the motor bike rider and the driver of the MTN vehicle involved in the accident are receiving medical care. We are committed to the immediate priority of ensuring that both victims are given the needed medical attention, considering the critical situation the motorbike rider is in. To this end, we have put in place measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all the people involved and will work closely with the medical teams attending to the victims, as we wish all, but especially the motorbike rider, a full and speedy recovery.

MTN Ghana is also collaborating with the Ghana Police Service in the investigation of the incident.

MTN Ghana is committed to high standards of health and safety. We take road safety seriously and have strict rules on it and will ensure that the right thing is done in bringing this issue to conclusion once the police investigation is completed
