NADMO Director, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh To Contest As MP For Ahafo Ano North Municipal

The director general of NADMO, Honorable Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, will contest as MP for Ahafo Ano North Municipal in the Ashanti region.
Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh is hoping to unseat the incumbent member of Parliament for the municipal, Honorable Suleman Adamu Sanid, who became the MP for the Municipal in 2016 and got reelected in 2020.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN AHAFO ANO NORTH MUNICIPAL
1. Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh has been instrumental in facilitating the employment of numerous youths in the municipality in various security sectors across the country, including Immigration, Police, and the Military. He has consistently carried out this initiative each year, while also aiding others in securing employment in different sectors.
2. He has also provided sponsorship for several NADMO workers in the municipal to pursue further education abroad, particularly in China.
3. He has inaugurated an ultramodern radio station, CooCoo FM, within the municipal.
4. Nana Agyemang Prempeh is set to establish a a factory that will create job opportunities for numerous young individuals in the municipal.
5. He has actively advocated for and contributed to the construction of inner roads in Tepa and other towns within the municipality.
6. Nana Agyemang Prempeh has made substantial contributions towards the establishment of the new College of Education in Tepa, as well as providing assistance to senior high schools in the municipal
7. He has also made donations to various churches, nursing training colleges, and other schools within the Municipal
8. Additionally, he has been a valuable resource for the Muslim community, supporting the construction of a mosque for the Muslim community within the municipal
9. He has also built a brand new sports stadium known as Agyemang Prempeh Sports complex in the municipal.
10. He contributed massively towards the new Immigration school in Tepa.

To enhance the operational efficiency of NADMO’s staff, a significant milestone was achieved through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shangdong University of Science and Technology in China. This collaboration facilitated specialized training for NADMO personnel across various disaster management sectors.

Under this collaborative program, NADMO staff were granted opportunities to engage in unique exchange programs and pursue studies at the university, enriching their knowledge and capabilities. Scholarships were also made available to eligible and qualified individuals on an annual basis, further reinforcing NADMO’s workforce.

Hon. Eric Agyeman-Prempeh’s forward-thinking approach emphasized the importance of taking disaster management to the grassroots and local communities. As a result, a comprehensive plan was devised to involve local communities actively in disaster control initiatives, shifting the paradigm from passive victims to proactive participants in averting disasters and unforeseen hazards.
Under his leadership, a more structured approach was implemented in sending NADMO staff abroad for training and workshops. This process, previously characterized by indiscriminate foreign travels, was streamlined to benefit well-qualified staff. Notably, the selection of individuals for foreign training was no longer solely at the discretion of the Director-General but involved a committee to ensure fairness and meritocracy.
A significant achievement during Hon. Nana Agyemang-Prempeh’s tenure was the creation of a department dedicated to various forms of training. This department was tasked with the mission of identifying and nurturing the innate qualities of both new and existing staff members. This initiative greatly improved the organization’s credibility and significantly reduced staff turnover, as employees were more inclined to remain within the organization.
In terms of infrastructure development at NADMO headquarters, an ultra-modern mosque was constructed to cater to the religious needs of the Muslim community within the organization. Additionally, a modern canteen was built to provide a convenient dining option for staff, effectively curbing the issue of employees leaving the premises during lunch breaks in search of food. Furthermore, a workshop was established for the transport department, serving as both a training and maintenance facility for the transport unit.
