NDC MPs on the joint committee of Trade and Sports of Parliament have voted to defeat the GHS 80million Cathedral budgetary allocation by an 11-10 margin few minutes ago.

The insistence on spending hundreds of millions of Ghana cedis of public funds on the needless Cathedral at a time when we have defaulted on our debts and imposed crude haircuts on lenders, is by far the most senseless decision taken by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.

In the mist of dumsor and all the economic challenges we faced in 2015, your boss JDM used huge sum of taxpayers monies to brand buses with his images. As if that branding wasn’t enough he used Gh¢ 9.6m of taxpayers monies to brand chocolate. In all these, Ghana did not die. Come again.
