The event, conducted in partnership with the South Tongu District Health Directorate, the Sogakope District Hospital and Lifetime Wells Vision; a well-respected Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a base in Tamale, highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare within the communities.

Moreover, Lifetime Wells Vision, an integral partner with Friends Eye Centre, is a subsidiary of Lifetime Wells International. Renowned for drilling wells in Ghana and Tanzania, the organization has extended its humanitarian focus to tackle preventable blindness, further emphasizing their commitment to holistic community well-being.
The impact of this initiative on the local population was profound, facilitating access to essential eye care services for those who might not have otherwise had the opportunity. The event spanned multiple days and engaged the community across various centers and zones including Dzogborve R/C Primary (Larve Zone), Dabala Health Centre (Dabala Zone), Tefle Global Church (Sogakope Zone), Asidovui D/A Primary (Agave Afedume Zone), Agbakope R/C Primary (Dabala Zone), and Sogakope District Hospital (Sogakope Zone) within the Constituency. This event took place from Monday, August 7, to Saturday, August 12, 2023.
In addition, 1,834 individuals received vital free medications, which are instrumental in managing and improving eye health. A further 435 individuals were provided with medicated glasses at a subsidized cost, enhancing their visual well-being and contributing to their overall quality of life.
Mr. Lukutor’s dedication to community welfare was evident through this initiative, aligning with the NDC’s vision to prioritize the health of the people. His commitment goes beyond the immediate event, as he expressed a determination to continue supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall health of the local population.
