NDC Supports Government Job Initiative, Cautions Against Partisan Hiring
Deputy Bono Regional Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Eric Adjei, has praised the Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) Business and Employment Assistance Programme and the government for launching it.
Launched by Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Programme aimed to empower and promote Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs) to hire youth, with the goal of creating jobs for 20,000 young people nationally.
Mr. Adjei, speaking in a Sunyani interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), stated that the country needed such creative policies and activities to address the growing young unemployment.
To ensure that all worthy young Ghanaians receive the maximum benefit, the NDC communicator hoped that the program’s execution and beneficiary selection would be free of political concerns, interests, and biases.
The system must be accessible to all users with this programme in place. As a Ghanaian, I am pleased, but they need to make sure the young people of Ghana experience reality, not just lip service, according to Mr. Adjei.
“This is why the nation requires the implementation of the proposed NDC 24-hour economy” to create more jobs for the people, he said, despite the fact that the national youth unemployment situation stood at approximately 12% and was troubling.
He stressed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Election 2024, John Dramani Mahama, has the ability and the key to restore the country’s economic fortunes with his proposed 24-hour economy.
To establish an enabling climate for the private sector to thrive, he said, “We are bringing a full package on the 24-hour economy.” He urged Ghanaians to vote for the NDC to win political power in the 2024 election and embrace and support its execution.

According to Mr. Adjei, the only option for Ghanaians to see a dramatic improvement in their socioeconomic conditions is to vote for the New Democratic Congress (NDC) to reclaim power in the upcoming general election.
