New Dollar Exchange Rates out, selling between GHS10-GHS12 in banks
New Dollar Exchange Rates out as four top banks quote rates above GHS8.00. The rates quoted in this Business and Finance publication by GhanaEducation.org are based on the reliable rates from Cedi Rates. The dollar rates are above the Bank of Ghana Interbank rates.
The rates quoted by the top four banks will often be lower than the ones quoted by the various Forex Bureaus.
The US Dollar is selling between GHS10.50 & GHS11.85 in GCB, Fidelity, CalBank and ABSA while their buying rates between GHS8.25 and GHS9.00. The GCB the buying and selling rates for the dollar are the highest and are 9.00 and GHS11.85 respectively. A check from online sources such as Google indicates that the $1 is being exchanged for GHS10.00 as of December 27th 2022.

At the GCB, the Buy rate for the dollar was 9.00 and the sell rate was GHS11.85
At the Stanbic Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was 8.50 and the sell rate was GHS10.50
At the ABSA, the Buy rate for the dollar was 8.50 and the sell rate was GHS10.70
At the Fidelity Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was 8.70 and the sell rate was GHS10.60
At the CalBank, the Buy rate for the dollar was 8.25 and the sell rate was GHS11.50
At the Binance P2P, the Buy rate for the dollar was 10.82 and the sell rate was GHS10.84
