37 Military Hospital is one of the many historic health facilities that were established by the colonial government in the Gold Coast to improve good and quality healthcare in the country.

Some of the hospitals built in the Gold Coast were Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, which was built in 1923 by Sir Frederick Gordon Guggisberg; Effie Nkwanta Government Hospital; and Holy Family Hospital, among others.

On July 4, 1941, the British government established 37 Military Hospital. The hospital was basically for the British military. But gradually, the hospital has become open to the general public, irrespective of their status.

The hospital is located in Accra, between Kotoka International Airport and the Jubilee House in the capital city of Ghana.
